7 Ways Our Kids can Make Us Healthier

Baby weight, lack of sleep, no free time -- this is typical rhetoric for busy parents. But I've got news, it doesn't have to be this way. We don't have to rely on triple shot venti frappucinos with 50g of sugar just to get through the day. The common thread most people associate with having children is that your health must suffer. For women, it's long beeen associated that once you have kids you automatically lose the body you once had, and you better be okay with that, No doubt, things will change, but they don't have to change for the worse.

1. You are now a superhero

All you had to do was bring a little human into the world. No freaky spider bites or laboratory mishaps necessary. But seriously, even if all you do is sit on the couch and mow potato chips, your kids will still think your a God. This is how little brains work, to them, you are the bees knees, the cats pyjamas, you brought them into the world and you keep them alive. Since they are watching your every move, it is of paramount importance that we teach them well through example. Being active and getting outside sets a good example to our kids that activity and fresh air is important.

2. Learn how to be a kid again

Embracing your inner child sounds like pseudo spiritual advice but can actually make us way healthier. Because what do children do? They play....
